Sean Kenney’s Brick Masters Studio: Build with LEGO® bricks like a pro is an interactive and immersive exhibition by world-renowned artist Sean Kenney.
Produced by Imagine with science content developed by Science North, this one-of-a-kind experience with over 100 sculptures made with LEGO bricks invites visitors to explore the limitless possibilities of building and design, uncovering the intersection of creativity, science, and engineering. Through captivating sculptures built with over 2 million LEGO pieces, hands-on activities, and insights into the artistic process, Brick Masters Studio portrays a deeper understanding of how imagination and innovation come together to create something extraordinary.
Visitors will step into Sean’s Workshop to explore how scientific principles like shape, form, and color theory influence the creation of his masterpieces. In the Sculpting with Shape gallery, guests learn to “brickify” two-dimensional designs into three-dimensional sculptures, while Color Collision reveals the fascinating science of color through vibrant displays and hands-on opportunities.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Sean Kenney is an award-winning artist who has been designing and creating contemporary, sculptural art with LEGO bricks for over 15 years. Sean’s exhibitions have toured globally since 2012, he has authored nine acclaimed children’s books, and guest-judged the hit reality TV show, LEGO MASTERS. While he does not work for The LEGO Group, he just might be their best customer.

- An immersive “behind the scenes” peek into a real working art studio — Sean’s workshop serves as the setting of the exhibition, where you will explore, experiment, and learn the art and science of becoming a Brick Master.
- CRAFTING WITH COLOUR
- Engage in activities that investigate colour theory, how the effects of colour combinations, shading, and gradients come together to create the vibrant LEGO sculptures prominently displayed throughout the exhibit.
- STRUCTURE WITH STYLE
- Structure with Style will teach you how Sean gets his sculptures to stand up and the engineering principles at work. Learn about the physics of balance, stability, and load distribution, gaining a deeper appreciation for the scientific precision involved.
- GROWING IDEAS
- Sean invites budding Brick Masters to put their new skills to work! Utilizing the methods, theory and skills they’ve learned and practiced throughout the exhibition. Here is a chance to bring yourown ideas to life, ‘growing’ them from inspiration to completed sculpture.
