Canada Day Family Celebrations
July 1, 2009
Starting at noon on the grounds of Science North

Come and celebrate our nation’s 142nd Birthday with the whole family! We have plenty of local entertainment to keep the main stage rocking throughout Canada Day.  Headline act The Giselles, featuring Sudbury’s Pandora Topp and a thrilling four-piece horn section, will entertain you with hits from the last five decades.

Don’t miss the 2nd annual Canada Day EZ Rock Idol Competition taking place on the main stage at Science North from 1:15 to 2:30 pm and 7 to 7:45 pm!  The 2008 grand prize winner, Payton Mills, will also perform.

Canada Day at Science North also includes children’s entertainers performing in English and French, Spirit of the World Drumming, an Aboriginal welcome song by the White Bear Singers, and of course entertaining science activities for kids of all ages!
