Come and celebrate our nation’s 143rd Birthday with the whole family! We have a full day and evening of family activities and entertainment, topped off by a spectacular fireworks display!
We have plenty of local entertainment to keep the main stage rocking throughout Canada Day. The headline act will be the Canada Day Sudbury All Stars, a high-energy musical show featuring the best homegrown musical talent – including:
They’ll perform your favourite hits of Canadian artists.
Don’t miss the 3rd annual Canada Day EZ Rock Idol Competition taking place on the main stage at Science North from 3:45 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. The 2009 grand-prize winner, Brooke St. Jacques, will also perform.
Canada Day at Science North will feature the Aerial Angels -- high-flying circus artists performing feats of grace and skill on the aerial hoop and silk, as well as acrobatics, fire eating, contortion, hula-hoops, whip-cracking and more, presented with sparkling comedy and friendly audience participation.
The day also includes pony rides, children’s entertainers performing in English or French, an Aboriginal welcome from the N'Swakamok Native Friendship Centre, and of course, entertaining science activities for kids of all ages!
