Ever wanted to look at the night sky through a telescope? Come on out to a Star Party and see what’s out there!
Science North has a regular schedule of star parties throughout the year – everyone is welcome! You can gaze at the planets, the moon and other astronomical objects through powerful telescopes. Learn how to find constellations.
Star parties are held outdoors, on the grounds of Science North. Please dress for the weather! In fall/winter/spring, it’s a good idea to wear a warm coat, gloves/mitts and touque. In the summer, wear long pants and sleeves, and bring mosquito repellant!
Star Parties are weather dependent; please call the Star Party Hotline at 705-522-3701 extension 243 for updates on the weather conditions and cancellations. Star Parties start at sundown; check the hotline for start times.
Admission is free for everyone!
