Don’t be left scrambling at the last minute – plan ahead and register your kids now for exciting and educational science programs at Science North and Dynamic Earth.  Our energetic camp leaders create a fun and cooperative atmosphere that ages 4 to 12 will enjoy. Before & After Care is available from 7:45 to 9 a.m. and 4 to 5:45 p.m. for an additional fee.

P.A. Day Program at Dynamic Earth
Strange Matter
Friday, March 12, 2010
09:00 a.m. to 04:00 p.m.
Ages 4 to 6, 7 to 9, and 10 to 12
The special exhibition Strange Matter will be open at Dynamic Earth, and participants will have oodles of fun while learning about materials science. Activities include making slimy matter and a liquid that defies gravity, as well as exploring the properties of foam while making it.

March Break Madness Camp at Science North
March 15, 2010 to March 19, 2010
09:00 a.m. to 04:00 p.m.
Ages 4 to 6, 7 to 9, 10 to 12

It’s March Break and we’ve got a great lineup of activities to entertain and enlighten your child throughout the week! Campers will experience the new Dinosaurs Unearthed special exhibition, make special rock-polishing projects, have fun with brain teasers, create some simple robotics (ages 9 and up), and more!

March Break Dash Camp at Dynamic Earth
March 15, 2010 to March 17, 2010
09:00 a.m. to 04:00 p.m.
Ages 4 to 6, 7 to 9, 10 to 12
This three day dash has a different theme everyday! They are: space, mining & minerals and exploration. During Space Day, participants will build a simple telescope, see real meteorite samples, and learn more about our solar system while creating a (miniature) planet! Day two is Mining and Minerals Day, when participants will do some bird-seed mining, make and taste toothpaste, work with mineral paints, and then create a rock and identify its type. Day three is Exploration Day when your child will make a compass, search for fossils, learn about geologists’ tools and participate in an exciting scavenger hunt.
